We're sure some of you have attended a music festival, gone camping, or attended a music festival with camping. Regardless, you're all new to Bellwether. To make things easier, we've put together this guide:
Basics
The entrance to the camping grounds and festival is off OH-73. If you are travelling west, you'll cross OH-52 and then it will be on your right. If you are travelling east, you'll cross Harveysburg Road and then it will be on your left.
Load-in starts at noon on Thursday, August 8, 2019. The later you arrive, the further away you'll be from the camping facilities and festival site.
Once you are parked, you are parked. You'll want to make sure you have everything you need to last until you leave Sunday. You can walk 1 mile to Harveysburg, but the only thing you'll find is a Marathon station.
If you don't have a Freshen Up pass, only portalets and hand washing stations are available. May we suggest baby wipes to wipe yourself down, then apply baby powder. Use dry shampoo (powder form) and apply some deodorant and you'll be ready to go!
Camper amenities - along with food vendors and beverages - are located within a small section of the Renaissance Festival grounds. Walk through the front (King's) gate for access.
Packing
No need for us to reinvent the wheel. Here are some great online resources:
Multiple Campsites
Some campers want to be next to their friends, but they're driving separately. No problem. Just make sure you are behind one another when you reach the camp site.
Some campers want the space of two or more campsites, but only want to bring one car. That’s fine. Just make sure you share information with staff when pulling in. They'll make sure your spaces are next to each other.
Glamping
When you arrive, you'll be directed to another part of the campsite. You'll pull up to your tent that is set up with 4 cots inside. If you are flying and want to stay on the festival grounds, this is the best option.
RV Camping
When you arrive, you'll be directed to park along the west wall of the Renaissance Festival grounds. Dry 30-amp and 50-amp options may be available. More information on availability and pricing to be provided soon.
Depending on what time you arrive, you'll be directly north or south of the main (King's) entrance where camper amenities are located.
